Outside the day job
I like to learn new things - so over the time I've gathered quite the strange assortment of hobbies.
I've studied woodworking under one of the last remaining "official" maesters in Hungary. Then spent some wacky months playing with the CNC routers in his shop.
I love wandering around in the Mediterranean - I've spent 2 months on an olive farm in Zakynthos, working on microservices while the locals were making oil and those extremely tasty olives that I so adore. I've also spent a few months in the surprisingly wild Mani area - seeing badgers, golden coyotes and horned vipers leaves a different impression when you're on a bike. Also, preparing for power outages, sourcing potable water, rations - it's the norm for the kind people I've met in these areas, but were certainly something that was hard to imagine for a guy from a big city.
Due to past injuries, my mobility was limited, so I've started working out with a personal trainer who loves a good challenge as much as I do - and I've also customized e-bikes for my fiancée and myself to give us an unique kind of mobility in the world.
I also took some time and effort to learn a bit of CAD and customized a budget 3d printer so that it could produce parts for said bikes, as the areas we use them are not easy on them.
I also spend a lot of time with my savannah cat, Captain Couscous.
